Overview
The MPoE™ Vi22108U is an 8-port IEEE 802.3af/at/bt compatible managed PoE midspan. It supports 10/100/1G/2.5G Base-T Ethernet networks and delivers up to 90W per port.
The Vi22108U is designed for easy network integration and eliminates the need for network expertise. Its intuitive MPoE™ GUI provides immediate feedback to confirm correct programming or indicate adjustments, streamlining installation and reducing setup time as well as
potential service calls.
The Vi22108U provides maximum protection and reliability. In addition to monitoring if required resetting is providing PoE to individual ports, two separate Watchdogs monitor operating voltage and internal communications every 15 seconds providing protection and and auto restart.
With compatibility for both IEEE PoE standards and many legacy non-standard PoE devices, the Vi22108U is the ideal solution for adding new devices, such as 802.3bt cameras, into existing systems without replacing major components.
An independent setup port ensures complete security by allowing configuration without exposing the unit to the main network. When connected, the Vi22108U supports full Syslog communications for status and alarm reporting. It can be programmed and operated with or without live network communications while maintaining full access security. Both front-panel LEDs and GUI indicators provide real-time PoE status per port.
The MPoE™ midspans are 1U-high and can be easily installed in 19” racks. They are ideal for a wide range of CCTV or IT applications that require high power PoE and high data throughput, such as IP cameras, wireless access points or VoIP.
