Overview
The MaxiiPower™ Vi2516 is an advanced 16-port UTP PoE midspan designed for long-distance Ethernet and PoE transmission. It supports transmission up to 3,000 feet (914 meters). It provides up to 36W per port for standard PoE devices. For high-power needs, ports 1-4 deliver up to 72W, making it perfect for PTZ cameras and other high-power devices.
The Vi2516 is fully manageable through a user-friendly Windows™ GUI. It allows local access via USB or remote management over a network. In addition, it offers a plug-and-play option, making installation simple without complex setup or programming.
In terms of performance, Vigitron’s Symmetric Bandwidth (SBW™) technology ensures consistent speeds with virtually no packet loss. Additionally, managed in-rush current control prevents shutdowns during power surges from camera events like start-up or PTZ operations.
The Vi2516 reduces the need for extra power at the camera site, lowering system costs. It also supports jumbo frames up to 9,600 bytes, making it suitable for demanding network applications. Status LEDs clearly indicate power and transmission status, simplifying system monitoring.
The Vi2516 meets IEEE standards and RFC protocols like TCP/IP and HTTP/HTTPS. Its compact, durable aluminum design allows operation in temperatures from -40°C to +75°C, ensuring reliable performance in harsh environments.
